Ninguém escreve
Toda sexta-feira o coronel espera por uma carta do governo que garantirá sua pensão. Todos, sua mulher, seus vizinhos, até ele mesmo, sabem que esta carta nunca chegará, mas a esperança, mesma que ilusória, o mantém vivo.
Quando há alguns anos li o livro do Gabriel Garcia Marquez "Ninguém escreve ao Coronel" não dei tanto valor. Hoje aqui nos EUA esperando há meses por uma carta da imigração americana que trará um visto de trabalho, entendo que a boa literatura é indefectível.
